Deep Blue

SOLD. 20 x 20 inches. Acrylic on 3 box canvases. Warm chocolates and browns make up this modern and contemporary triptych painting. The graduated browns of the three panels set off the raised textured sections which have been built up in multi-coloured layers to create embossed swirls of colour and depth. You can see coffee and mocha ripples in the rich chocolatey colours. This is an attractive and fresh painting that would compliment most colour schemes. This painting is completely flexible and can be hung portrait or landscape style any side up to suit your living space. In addition the three individual panels can be hung in any order. Each panel has been signed on the side to allow this versatility. I really enjoyed creating this painting and in particular the textured sections where I could have fun playing with colours and effects.

Funky Flesh

Abstract. Funky Flesh 3 x 16 x 20 box canvasses. This triptych is painted in layers over an impasto and uneven surface - not totally but in certain areas - this is done so that the viewer can actually touch the painting in a tactile manner. Part of the funky flesh feel is provided by the viewer both at distance and close in, providing a ceratin intimacy with the image. Hope you like it. Slightly more silkier than Funky Flesh 2 with distinct fingersized impasto underpainting. Oils

Fruity Stones

A semi-abstract acrylic painting, the inspiration behind which was a photograph I took of some random pebbles in our garden. I have made the colours much brighter and changed the look of the image dramatically. Each pebble has been outlined with a black metallic paint to highlight it. I wanted a triptych effect but only had one canvas in stock of that size, so improvised by painting two white lines down the painting. Hence the effect of a triptych!! The stones remind me of some exotic pieces of fruit, falling in space. The colours are actually slightly brighter than shown on this photograph.

Behind every Cloud

Semi-abstract/surreal triptych. An original oil painting by Tony Broadbent. Using vibrant colours for effect, warmth and mood, I bring this slightly surreal skyscape into your home. It is there to provide an uplift, a change and a promise of better things to come, hence the title. A technical but fun painting none the less. It makes a statement and cannot fail but to be observed, it commands attention in a nice way and is both easy and complicated. I enjoyed painting this one. Knife triptych

Abstract landscape. My version of Tuscanny - the raw colour of genre of paintings upon this theme throughtout 2002/3. It is an abstraction rendered in pallette knife, thick , lucious, simple but done with verve skill and application. The picture does not do it justice, it is both vibrant and subtle and original. I did no more. Oils.

Coffee and Cream

A contemporary acrylic triptych in brown, cream and metallic bronze. The original size was 9x12inches per canvas, but I have since painted several commissions of various sizes and would consider any size you may like.
