Temagami II

Sunrise over the North East Arm of Lake Temagami in Canada (North of Toronto and the Algonquin National Park). I was on a six day canoe expedition in the wilderness and this is a painting based on a photograph taken on the last morning. We'd camped out under the stars and were cooking breakfast on a sun-warmed rock listening to the gentle lap of water against the shore. There were no other sounds at all apart from the breeze rustling the leaves in the trees. I look at this painting and it transports me back to that moment.
