Knife triptych

Abstract landscape. My version of Tuscanny - the raw colour of genre of paintings upon this theme throughtout 2002/3. It is an abstraction rendered in pallette knife, thick , lucious, simple but done with verve skill and application. The picture does not do it justice, it is both vibrant and subtle and original. I did no more. Oils.

Branches

This monochrome winter landscape shows tree branches covered in snow. The photograph was taken at the edge of woodlands near the River Dane in Cheshire.

This monochrome landscape vignette shows a pair of old wheels left to rust in a meadow. The slightly surreal feel of this photographic image results from the use of infrared film.
