The whole painting is covered in deep, tangible, impasto rich, pure acrylic paint straight from the tube - placed, painted and arranged in thick swaithes, dabs, marks, grooves over and over again layering and forming the substrate and background. The paint is placed on in such a way that the image is seen complete with all the interference and substance/substrate interacting and can be appreciated.
