Abstract.This is a multi-layered technique and a wasteful way of painting but to good effect. It consists of an overall 3 tone underwash, then swathes of straight from the tube oils are applied then wiped away in a circular motion, time and time again until the structure forms and a shape is seen in depth, then a couple more half tubes of paint are applied leving risen Impasto edges and bright and darkness - wonderful.
