Rogue Gene Collective - Artists working for Artists 

Our main objective is to exhibit original art to the public. We feel there is no substitute for standing in front of a real artwork. When you stand in front of a work of art in a gallery or at an exhibition, you are close enough to see the piece as the artist did when it was created. You are seeing it as it was intended. A person in front of a piece of art. 

Rogue Gene aim to create opportunities for artists to exhibit their work. Available wall space seems to be a permanent problem for two reasons. There isn't enough of it and a lot of it is owned by people or organisations that are not actually producing art. We strive to find alternative locations for exhibiting - and we encourage other artists to form regional collectives and do the same.

Rogue Gene are committed to helping each other attain a higher level of visibility for members work. We do this by networking; pooling resources, information, knowledge and contacts. All members act as agents, couriers and publicists for the other members, representing each other at exhibitions around the country. By doing this, we are creating more wall space for artists.
